The new generation of biosafety cabinets for the laboratory from Labconco includes an LCD information center located inside the cabinet at eye-level to keep users safe and alerted to current cabinet conditions. Operating parameters are constantly displayed, including the percent of HEPA filter capacity remaining. Named the Logic Series, the cabinets utilize intelligent motor technology to maintain precise, safe airflow as the filters load. The motor is more powerful, yet quieter, cooler and 50% more energy efficient. Programmable options permit users to define start up, shut down and standby parameters, including blower control and timing of fluorescent and UV lights. Ergonomic benefits have been enhanced with easier work surface and airfoil removal and greater access below work area.
